Love and Pop (1998) Love and pop was shot using five cameras simultaneously and allows for an incredible amount of interesting angles and shots, the low fidelity also adds to the films themes of self-surveilance and paranoia. I love this film and it’s cinematography adds so much. The frenetic and uncompromising stlye is somthing i would like to attempt

unfinished short film (2024) Shot from my unfinished short film, i wasnt able to import my minidv footage onto my laptop but i do have some of the files i converted, My camera has since died and i’m looking for a replacement battery. I just love the texture of MiniDV. The interlacing also can be read thematically in the same way blur and movement has been used to convey the more psycological aspects of a film in a haptic sense.

The Animatrix:beyond (2003) This short uses a high concept sci-fi setting to accentuate the characters completely unremarakable lives. The existential dread the space brings is no match for the general dread of the present moment. I feel i can get a bit angsty sometimes so the 20-something listless dread of this short really got to me. The blending of extremly heady sci-fi with very relatable everyday problems is something i would like to try and do with my script

Goodbye Eri (2022) Really any of Tatsuki Fujimotos long form output could be here but goodbye eri is his most filmic as he uses the medium to replicate things like camera blur and interlacing as shown above. Also his work is very much paced like a storyboard with the reader given lots of time to soak in the atmosphere of the images. Great use of montage throughout.
